Review of DIY Photography- This website is very unique and intriguing. This website shows you news, inspiration, reviews, tutorials, DIY and gear related to photography. It allows you to look at all different people's reviews and DIY's on different concepts of photography that you might have questions for. This website is full of all sorts of information. It displays its information in a more fascinating way there other websites do in my opinion. It doesn't just give you articles to read, it allows you to watch videos from all different people's perspectives and different advice is given. Someone who is looking for help with certain skills or just wants to know more about photography can certainly go to this website and get help with what they are looking for. Also if you don't like the way one person explains something, you have various sources you can try out and find the best person for you. I would consider adding this website to my bookmarks because it seems

Part 1 - Self-Portrait vs Selfie

Image
1. A selfie is usually taken on a handheld device. It is usually not thought out or planned, it is rather in the spur of a moment in order to capture what you are doing right then and there. The selfie is inherently replaceable and easily disposed if the picture doesn't satisfy oneself. Overall, with selfies there is not too much depth. 2. A self-portrait is usually carefully composed and planned out. Self-portraits are created as pieces of art, usually found in museums. They tend to carry certain ideas or deeper meanings. The artist is usually inspired to create them. 3. I believe there is a subtle difference between a selfie and a self-portrait. An artist can choose to represent themselves through selfies. However, self-portraits don't exactly signify selfies. Therefore, some self-portraits may very well be considered selfies. It all depends on a persons perspective and meaning. 4. I prefer taking selfies, mostly because of the generation I grew up in. I have had access

Phobia Project

A. A phobia is an exaggerated and irrational fear. It is often a fear of an object or situation that people tend to go to great lengths in order to avoid. B. Acrophobia- Fear of heights. Agyrophobia- Fear of streets or crossing the street. Amaxophobia- Fear of riding in a car. Monophobia- Fear of solitude or being alone. Aphenphosmphobia- Fear of being touched. (Haphephobia) C. A possible photo idea for the phobia of being afraid of heights is that I could take a picture of someone on top of something tall and looking very frightened. An idea for the fear of streets is I could take a picture of someone avoiding crossing the street. A photo idea for the fear of riding in a car is I could take a picture of someone inside a car looking trapped and begging to come out. Another idea is for shooting the phobia of being alone I could have one subject in a very large space and being the only one there. And lastly, for the fear of being touched I could have someone being the subject of

3 Favorite Photos: 1. I picked this as one of my favorite photos of the year because of how emotional and powerful it is. It really lets us visualize and see how bad people have it around the world, and how lucky we are to be in such a stable and safe country. The photo shows the destruction of the world around the little boy and it makes me think of how much I take for granite. This photo overall makes me realize of how blessed I am. 2. I chose this photo as one of my favorites because of how artistic and visually appealing it is to the eye. It shows a great contrast between the warm and cool colors. The volcano's lava appears to be in 3D and expresses great dimensions. Also the lightning strike is very appealing since it is projected onto the black night sky. 3. Lastly, I picked this photo because it has many emotions behind it. This photo is showing Syrians sitting down eating together on a very damaged street in Douma. I liked how all of these people are coming togethe
