Student of the Month Interview
1. What are your hobbies?
My hobbies consist of gymnastics, eating, and sleeping.
2. Do you participate in any school activities or clubs?
I do not participate in any school activities due to the fact that gymnastics practice takes up most of my free time.
3. Why do you think you were chosen as Student of the Month?
I think I was chosen because I am dedicated to my school work and I make all A's in my classes.
4. What is your favorite class? Why?
My favorite class is chemistry because I love the subject and learning more about science. Also the teacher teaches the concepts in a really exciting and fun way that helps me stay interested in that class.
5. How do you think you are doing in school?
I would say I am doing pretty good in school since I just won Student of the Month.
6. How do you balance school and your outside of school life?
I balance the two by being proactive and not putting school work off until the last minute. I put school before my extra activities and make sure I have time to do any work before practice and social time.
7. What is your favorite elective class? Why?
My favorite elective class is nutrition because it is a fun class and I love the teacher. She makes that class exciting to go to.
8. What is your favorite part about Bowie?
My favorite part about Bowie is just being able to see my friends everyday and the teachers.
9. How do you feel about being chosen?
I feel very honored because I know there is a lot of smart people in my class, so it is a great accomplishment.
10. What Pre-Ap classes do you take?
I do not take any Pre-Ap classes this year because last year was very stressful for me and hard to maintain good grades in those classes so this way I am able to make high grades and not be so stressed about finishing work on time.
11. What is your strongest subject?
My strongest subject is probably english and history. Also I really prefer chemistry I am just better at these two subjects.
12. How often do you spend your time studying or preparing for school work?
When I am not at practice, I am usually studying or doing my homework.
13. Where do you picture yourself going to college? Why?
I see myself going to OU because my whole family when there and I would probably disowned if I didn't carry out the tradition. But I really do want to go to OU.
14. What was your favorite part about this year so far?
My favorite part about this year was just all the freedom in my classes and the trust my teachers had for me.
15. What struggles do you face with school?
The struggles I face in school is time management and just making sure I have enough time to get everything done to the best of my ability.
16. How do you spend your free time?
My free time is spend at practice or with friends and family.
17. How would you say your year at Bowie has been so far?
My year at Bowie has been better than last year for sure. This year I have built better relationships with my teachers and my friends. Also I am making better grades and am working harder.
18. What has been the hardest thing about this year?
The hardest thing about this year is probably just meeting new people and getting along with my peers.
19. Do you see yourself as an introvert or extrovert? Why?
I would say I'm an extrovert because I am very outgoing and loud. However, I don't really enjoy meeting new people that often.
20. What job or career do you see yourself pursuing in the future?
I see myself as being a OBGYN, helping women have there babies. I would want to have this career because I want to be in the medical field and I love babies.
