final exam planning

I will shoot this assignment on a weekend, hopefully sometime in the next two weeks  I will shoot this assignment at my house, at the dog park, or somewhere that's outdoors I will be documenting my dog and what she does throughout the day. I want to make it adventurous and exciting to watch.  I will need a camera that can shoot video and take many fast shots at once in order to capture my dog's fast movements and crazy energy  I will use the images for when she is doing something still. By this I mean I will most likely use the images when she is waking up and doing something around the house. Then, I will use the video portion when she is running around at the park and doing something energetic. I will most likely narrate when we are going somewhere new so the viewer will be able to tell where we are and what we are doing.

My opinions story

Standardized tests have been apart of the American education system since the mid-1800s. However, in the last decade these tests have rocketed as the “No Child Left Behind” act was put into action in all 50 states. US students began to slip from being ranked 18th in the world for math, to 27th. Research shows that high-stakes standardized test scores are not valid or reliable. I think that the requirement of standardized tests is not achieving anything but stress and lost confidence in students. Standardized tests takes away focus from the ultimate goal, student success. Also these tests create disadvantages for students who do not have access to the knowledge needed in order to complete these test questions. In fact, standardized tests are biased by social-class, ethnic and other cultural differences. They unfairly advantage those who can afford to prep for the test. Kids who are suffering from poverty do not get the same tools and resources in order to prepare for thes...

Personal Essays

1. One idea the writer gave me in the Wide Range of Topics section is, that you must right something that is able to relate to the reader and not just a very personal experience. You want to write about an opinion that can be seen on both sides, or that isn't just relatable to you. This gave me the idea of writing about something school related, such as homework or finals, anything that most kids my age have similar opinions on. 2. The Opinion Pieces section gave me the idea that you need to show the reader rather than just tell them. You want to include the reader and make your experiences specific so they feel involved in the story. If you are vague with your words, then the reader will feel like just an observer and won't be able to connect with your experiences or emotions. 3. Personal Essays and Crafts: 3 Suggestions- - make connections (give personal examples and specific experiences to keep your reader interested) - make sure your hook is very strong, this is wha...

Good riddance to all the trends and topics of 2017: 1. This story was written by Katie Holme 2. This story is about all of the popular trends and wide spread topics that occurred during the year of 2017. Majority of the story was about Trump and all of his ignorant actions that happened in 2017. Also the internet and music industry had a booming year in 2017. 3. Katie Holme has a clear opinion on Trump's tweets that happened this past year. "Let's start with something that needs to be wiped from this earth forever: Trump's twitter account." She said. This shows that she has a very strong opinion when it comes to Trump and his tweets. She did not care for them and believes that they should never happen again. 4. She does not mention how other people might feel about Trump's tweets. She stated in her story that, "most of us agree on this.." 5. Katie stuck with her opinion on Trump all throughout her story. She did not give him any benefit of the d...

Final Exam - Preview Assignment

Summary- iMovie is a movie-making device that can turn clips and videos into finished productions. First you have to import videos and photos from your computer that were previously downloaded. This is a fairly easy process. Either USB or Firewire cables can directly take photos and videos from your camera and upload them to iMovie. This process repeats as you continue to upload videos from your library. After importing videos of your choice, you then can mess around and arrange your video. You can click on your pieces of video and cut and crop them in any way you'd like. Also you can add background music and cool transitions to make your story more appealing and put together. The content library is where you can find all of these helpful tools. iMovie is very flexible and not hard to use. If you mess around with the different buttons and resources available, you'll be able to make a polished movie in no time. Also you can add text and voiceovers throughout your video. Theme...
